Excel was not only the Alliance Coal mine with the best Heart Age improvement for 2014, but also achieved Most Improved Cholesterol, Most Improved Blood Pressure, and Most Improved Blood Sugar.
“I’m just so proud of these guys,” said NP Glennis Little, from the Health Center at Excel. “They proved that taking a few action steps can make a difference, for their sake and for their loved ones.” This marks the second annual Built to Last Awards, determined through the results from the 2014 HealthChecks.
“The strides employees are making toward good and lasting health is truly inspiring,” Dr. Wells said. “They are changing lives – for themselves and for their families.”
Alliance Coal CEO Joe Craft applauded the employees taking steps to improve, and he thanked the Wells team for serving the Alliance Coal family. “Knowing that Dr. Wells and the health coaches are our partners as we work toward healthier lives makes all the difference,” said Craft. “They truly care about the people of Alliance Coal and show it each and every day.”
